I was thinking about this as I drove into work today:

Imagine if the next version of PES/WE released was...

- WE10 PS2 version downloadable from PSN
- patched to allow 16:9 display, 480p
- patched to allow multiplayer over PSN
- patched to receive updated rosters/teams from PSN
- patched to support PSN trophies

thoughts? Would you pay for this? :ninja:

The resounding answer would probably be yes, due to this being a PES fan-site, and many have paid for the game this year that includes none of the above.

I guess I'm just frustrated with PES on PS3. I bought PES2008 and PES2009.. I've tried to play them and enjoy them but I can't. The gameplay is just not right. When I pop in WE10 it's just a joy to play. I just want that same joy on the PS3 with minor enhancements because I feel Konami will never get the gameplay right again.

Konami tried and failed to make a next gen PES. If they were smart they would set their sights a little lower and create a fantastic update to their PS2 engine games, charge $15 to buy it and become legends.
