Non-Superstar Dream Team

I always think it gets a bit silly if you buy all the superstars to build a dream team. I built a cracking Roma team with a salary cap of 400 points (had to pay larger transfer fee to land Kewell):

CFR - Olisadebe
CFL - Montella
OMF - Totti
WGR - Babangida
WGL - Kewell
DMF - Emerson
DMF - Tomassi
CBR - Lucio
CBT - Cannavaro
CBL - Samuel
GK - Antonioli

but got bored so have now built a non Superstar dream team with an age limit of 25:

CFR - Titov
CFL - Pizarro
OMF - Aimar
SMR - Mahdavikia
SML - Kewell
DMF - Vogel
SBR - Sagnol
SBL - Babayaro
CBT - Lucio
CBT - W. Samuel
GK - Buffon

Considering it is a team of practically unknowns (sorry, v unfair but in context) it's almost as good as the dream team (below) without the boredom of big names...

CFR - Shevchenko
CFL - Recoba
OMF - Ravoldi
SMR - Neuville
SML - Navdid
DMF - Ballack
SBR - Arcia
SBL - R. Larcos
CBT - Nesta
CBT - Nowotny
GK - Toldo

there not really "non superstar dream teams" though are they? Cannavaro, Montella and Totti are all great players.

My Roma team wasn't the non-Superstar dream team; that was the one with Titov, Aimar, Zipparo etc... I gave up on the Roma team after having won everything on hard level (extreme is still a step too far for me) as Totti, Cannavaro, Montella etc. make it a bit easy... By the way, Cafu was rubbish so got replaced by Babaginda who dribbles with the ball too far away (easily looses it) but if he can get to the bye line lays a quality 'through ball' across the box for a striker to net.

I've just won the cup on hard but am fourth in division one (first season in division one with this team) so plenty of games left to make or break with the non-Superstar team...

I reckon Lucio and Samuel are probably a better pairing than Cannavaro and Nesta. Cannavaro is like a magnet to any ball remotely near him but isn't tall enough and Nesta is magnificent but takes a while to settle in...

Lucio can bicycle kick goals from corners like a corker, scored three this season so far and with Samuel they compliment eac other (left and right footed)...
