offensive / defensive mentality

Guys, I must me missing something. In PES 2011 I was able to toggle this setting by hitting select + RB / RT, yet this year its not working.

Go into the Personal Data Settings, and then Button Configuration. To change the attack/defense levels as "usual" PES games, make sure you have selected LS and D-pad for Player Movement.

If you just choose LS (left stick) in this option, the attack/defense levels are changed by some other combination involving the D-pad.

But I have the same problem. I've tried both button configurations, but I can't change the attack/defense mentality during games. Oddly, it works fine in practice!

Anyone figured out how to fix it? Just a bug some of us'll have to live with?

Unfortunately, I have tried both digital and analog methods, but strangely neither works. In the demo, I could do it some games, while others I couldn't. In the full version so far I've only been able to do it in practice mode.

Hard to believe it depends on the disc, so maybe there's a setting somewhere that's messing it up...

Did you set it to be manually controllable in the formation screens? I think it's on "No preference" which is the automatic medium setting. There you have to change it to be manual, too... aside from using the right controls.

Thanks! That did it. Instead of "no preference" or the other offensive/defensive options, you have to set it to OFF.
