Online PES 5

When the games come out, is there any plan to create some sort of official PESinsight league or something along those lines. Could be a laff seeing if all these people who proclaim to be PES God's can actually hold their own against other so called PES Giants.

I myself would love a weekly/bi-weekly thing with users selecting any team they want to play the course of the season. Hehe; could make for some interesting club vs national team games.

Btw on an OT note; does anyone with experience of pes online(xbox obviously) know if having the update patch that oh so many of us use affects online play, as if the other user doesn't have it, then would it still work?

With PC Online it is irrelevant what patch people have. The only different being is that both players must either HAVE the Official patch or NOT have the official patch. With console versions this is irrelevant since there is no official update that users have the choice of having or not (that I know of anyway).

So in answer to your question what patch you use should make no difference as online teams will be the same for everyone (universal option file used online).

A bit off topic, but is there any official (or rumored) info on online features? I'm pretty sure in an interview, Seabass said you can use your Master League teams online (I dunno if this was in PES4 for Xbox), but I'm wondering if there is any word on leagues/online co-op Master League (in my dreams -_-), etc?

Also, don't they pay to play WE9 online on the PS2 in Japan? I can't imagine them doing this in Europe or the US, but what's the deal with that?

my pes updated on my xbox it does it automatically so every1 would have the same patch

some people say it made no diffrence but i think it made it better

i sure hope they dont charge people to play the game online. in my eyes thats a total joke. its not fair for people to have to fork out hundreds of pounds on a console, then a monthly subscription for broadband, a network adaptor, a copy of the game and THEN have to pay to play the game online? i just wont be able to afford it.

Was it a patch or an updated option file? On xbox you can't play patched games online and you have to only use the default option file. Any changes you make in edit mode were ignored. I assume it'll be the same for the PES5.

And the PC version is slightly better in that respect as you can update the para file which is the player/team data and be sure that your opponent is using either the same one or a 'legal' one.
