Online Play with Edited Teams

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to play an online game with a friend with two teams that you have edited? (I mean a fully edited team; changed name, new created players etc.)

The only way this could be done in PES17 was if the friend joined your PS4 on shareplay, and even then it didn't work very well as all the edited players looked exactly the same, you could only play for 1 hour and online gameplay was slow anyway.

Just trying to decide whether to buy PES or Fifa or neither. Doesn't look like Fifa 18 will allow any editing or team creation. We used to use Fifa Creation Centre until it stopped and were hoping that PES might be the answer...

as far as know this is not possible. YOu can only use edited teams offline. So shareplay would be your only way.

Thanks for the reply!

The problem with PES17 shareplay was that the editedkits and players did not show properly. The kits were different and all the players looked exactly the same. Does anyone know if this is fixed in PES18? Or is there any other way to play online with edited teams now?

Why and how should this be fixed?
Shareplay is some kind of teasing / testing possibility for interested people and not an alternative online mode.

The only edited things you will see in online mode, are team names and kits. Everything player related will be Set to default online rosters, that's why you can not play with edited teams, but with correct kits and team names for bpl etc teams e.g.
If your online mate or opponent has not edited team names or kits, he will see just the default unlicensed ones.

And NO, there will be no chance to bypass this AND there will be no fix for it.

Thanks for the reply, I think you misunderstood my goal here. What we want is to be able to play online with our edited teams and see the edited teams/players/sponsors etc on both screens. Indeed, it would be far better if you could simply play an online match with an edited team without using shareplay. Shareplay was the only way you could kind of do it in PES2017 but it wasn't really suitable.

If PES18 allows us to play an online match like this that would be ideal. If the online game through shareplay has got better that may be suitable.

FYI the last time this was possible on a console game AFAIK was Fifa 15 where you could play online with created teams and you could see everything from the custom made sponsors on the shirt to player's hairstyles etc.

I did understand you right.

I have no clue what the issue is with not correct shown players via shareplay, BUT once again:

Shareplay is just a teasing tool to show interested friends a game with the possibility to play an hour without having the game.
Shareplay is NO alternative online mode.
That's why there will be no fix by Konami or any other for this issue.

The reason why it is not possible to play with fully edited teams in online game modes (like Bayern München, Bayer Leverkusen, any created CSL or Liga Mx or whatever Team) is licensing.

And of course there will be no fix by Konami or anyone else.

The only thing you can use, are the emblems and kits as well as corrected team names for the teams that are already ingame.
If there is a team that is not in fifpro, the fake player names will stay fake and the complete fake teams will stay with fake players aswell.
All online player names are stored in an online roster database and will be used no matter what has been edited locally.
That's it. No work around will be possible and no fix by Konami will be coming due to the licences.

If you want to play with other mates with edited teams, you will have to play in local (offline) Multiplayer.

OK that's good info so thanks for explaining.

I guess the only way we can play online with our edited fantasy football teams is to use the PC version of Fifa 16 which is still fully editable
