Why is online soooo laggy? Everything is delayed... my tackles, my passes, my shots on goal EVERYTHING.

Why is this?

Anyone know how to sort before I trade Pes 2011 for Fifa 11...

Cheers oh and PS3.

Good post. I be taught something tougher on totally different sites everyday. It'll always be stimulating to learn content material from different writers and follow just a little something from their store. I’d favor to use some with the content on my site. whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a hyperlink back to www.pesgaming.com. ironwork

If anyone watched YaYa Toure today in the FA semi easily steal that soft clearing pass and then see him pitter patter his way to the goal - well, that is what I see constantly happen against me when I play online because of lag. Perhaps most frustrating is that when I experience lag my opponent is not; so how do you compete with that?

I spent way too much time today exploring the problem and repeatedly find references on every site, including pesgaming, on the problems with lag. I found the same problems posted with FIFA 11 but only the 2011 installment of the series. FIFA released a patch that doesn't seem to help but it is obvious evidence that companies realize there are problems outside of our hardware and connection speeds. I think connection speed adds to any problem (10mbps down, 2 up is one, but only one part of my problems). Plenty of old references to Konami frantically releasing fixes to online lag problems with PES 2008. Again, more evidence that software issues exist.

In some ways, I don't know how it is even remotely possible to connect someone in the US and someone in Brazil and not expect Peer 2 Peer split second synch mishaps. Maybe I should not be expecting anything but problems - Type in any of your favorite game titles into google and add "online lag" after it and you can be overwhelmed with hits. But as Ricky posts above, he hasn't experienced the type of lag in other games and probably with games that have hundreds of thousands more simultaneous online players. So it circles back to very real software problems or server problems. I have had a few non lag games and they were fabulous so we know it is possible just too inconsistent.

What would be very useful is knowing the conditions of any players that don't get hit with lag, or at least are only lagged a small amount of time. A best practices to online playing guide.

What are the conditions of a true non-lagged connection of one exists; upload/download speeds etc.

This idea would be an excellent resource to be maintained in steady place on this site.

Do you really lag every game?

What time of day do you play?

Maybe you could play X amount of games and watch where they have their location set and see which you have trouble with most.

The Spanish connections are usually the worse but i don't get input lag i just get general stuttering lag due to the connection.

I personally see very little lag but i am running 50 meg (was fine when running 20 meg also) and i usually play between 9pm-4am and 2pm - 3.30pm (due to work).

I could post some speed test results if you want to look at my speeds/pings for hitting servers in the UK/Spain/America/Australia (again they are only averages).

This year more people have expressed Fifa 2011 as being shocking online so don't run off there hoping for a better time :)

PES 2011 was a lag fest from the beginning but it got even worse after the last DLC in March. It's really unplayable... KONAMI should be ashamed. Before I release a online mode which works like that I'd leave it out completely. And don't tell us suffering under this that it'd be our internet connections. Other games play online like being offline. If it was our connection it'd be the clearest in FPS games but there I pwn them all with ma reflexes. Offline I can easily dribble with the ball like a charm but online one shouldn't even bother to press R1 for sprint as the physics in the game are connected to the lag somehow and ridiculous things happen as i.e. putting the ball 3m away from your feet even though it'd never happen like that with "offline physics"... This is just ridiculous. Why can't they get it sorted? I guess it's the old unrefactored gamecode from a decade ago. Bling bling, nice new graphics over the years but that's it. Gameplay-wise it was miles ahead in the past when I look at PES 3 to 6... It's really a sad sad story that's happening. Luckily there are other many good games and I'm not such a soccer fanatic that I can only footy games because currently you can't really find an adequate one on the market. Damn you, Konami, just damn you. I really thought that this programmer squad around PES would be idealistic with their product after so many years but they are degrading to those worth-nothing capitalistic scumheads.

It has nothing to do with your internet connection. It can be two things: All your opponents have bad connections (unlikely)

OR

You have multiple connections to the internet in your house.

Basically Konami is a horrible company for online play.

What I find help is restarting your router and restarting your ps3. Don't ask me why... I have a fast internet but when it's slow it is slow game after game. I refresh my IP sometimes it gets better... sometimes not...
