anyone else out there ordered from Amazon ??

I'm feeling i shoulda got it from Play or something,
they emailed me saying release date is 17th

but not whether they'' post it to me in time for the 17th
or post it ON the 17th, which may mean i'll have to wait until the MONDAY !!

Ne1 else ordered from them ??

you could get it on saturday(the day after it comes out)becasue i ordered tiger woods 2004-it was dispatched friday night and i got it saturday!

but you could cancel it and just go to the shop on the day and get it?

I am gutted. I just checked my acount and it said:
'Items Not Yet Dispatched
Delivery estimate: Nov 3, 2003 - Nov 4, 2003.

But then it says that it will be dispatched on the day the get it in.

Well.............. I'm angry!

Dont worry, Amazon have a very good record, for delivering on or before release. Dont take any notice of the estimated delivery It always overcompensates. I would be very surprised if you do not get it on Friday morning.

I hope you're right Arkay. All the other games I have pre-oredered have all come on time. But none of them were as big as PES3. I have a 4 hour brake from college on Friday! YEY. Hardcore PES3 session with my mate!

I decided yesterday to cancel my order this afternoon if i had not received confirmation of them shipping it yet. So they have approximately 4 hours left.

Im doing this because i know i can get it on release day friday from the shops.

I cancelled my order with Amazon and ordered from Play.com yesterday, I just got a mail confirming that it was dispatched today.

I wouldnt worry too much about it mate. I bought the last 2 PES titles from Amazon and they both arrived on the day of release (although PES 2 came in second post... and I was ready to wage war on Amazon when my dad called and said the posty hasn't dropped it off :mad: ... 2 hours later he called again... :D ).
Having said that, I did email them nearly every minute of every day for the week leading upto release date 'Have you sent it yet', 'Have you sent it yet', 'Why have you not sent it yet?' etc. I got the email from them on the Thursday saying (maybe sarcastically) 'We thought you would like to know that this has been despatched'.
Send them a few emails mate.. it might start pissing them off but who cares... you'll never meet them :)

Please tell me as i need to know if i should cancel the order or not, and get it from GAME the day of the release

I have sent my email. here are the instructions so yo can send an email:

1. www.amazon.co.uk
2. sign in
3. click on the 'help' button found at top right of screen.
4. Click on the 'Dispatch & Delivery' header
5. The click on 'Delivery Problems'
6. Then on the right hand side of the screen you will find 'Email us'

I couldn't use the link as it involved my order details and you would need to log in as me.

Thats what I used last year. Make sure you quote your order/ref number. Alternatively in the help section there is a bit that says 'if you cant find what you are looking for then send our cust services section an email'

yup, I suppose that makes it quicker. There is a header you must fill in when I did it to make sure you give them your Order number. I will use [email protected] for future use. I hope they don't get too peaved off but it means a lot to me. I must get PES3 this weekend. :mad: :p

I've cancelled my amazon order. Wil get it friday morning, as soon as the shops open... then im gonna look at it the rest of the day, untill i get off from uni at 16:00 :D
