I have downloaded patch 1.4 on the website for PES 2009. I opened it an it is an img file? What am I supposed to do with it? It's for PC.

discard it !
load the game directly from pcdvd, go to system and update from there

I don't see any option to update in system settings

go to system settings---> download.

There is controller settings, on screen display, sound settings, stadium effects and pre match scenes, colour adjustments, system data, language and auto login settings. No download.

Can anyone help with this? I haven't played the game yet, as I want to use Sammy K's latest option file, but I need to update to patch 1.4 to use it.

I think you have to put it in this folder:

C:\ProgramData\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2009\download

(ProgramData is a hidden folder, check "show hidden folders" in Tools>folder options)
