You should get winrar so you can uncompress all the files that are released these days.

I downloaded the patch and put an image to the cd. I managed to burn the game correctly to a cd but when I put the cd-r in the playstation 2 everything was still in Jap.
I have winrar and once I downloaded the patch I wanted I clicked on extract. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please.

1. Get a clean image of WE7 onto your hard disk.
2. Get the patch (i recommend getting Fernando 0.71) and unzip/unrar it so you have a .ppf file.
3. Use ppf-o-matic 3 to apply the ppf patch to the bin of the WE7 image.
4. Close ppf o-matic.
5. Burn the new image of WE7.
What program are you using to burn it? I think using the Nero Wizard makes it very easy but you seem to have the burning part of it sorted. Any questions, let us know.

How do I know if I have unzipped it right by the way? You recomend I use winrar I have never used that before. Do I just download the patch I want then choose open rather than save when prompted then once it is downloaded just on extract to is that all I need to do?

When you unzip/unrar the file, it should give you a new folder - this contains either just the .ppf file or this with a small notepad file describing the contents. If you get a .ppf file, it's fine.
I don't know about the open/save option as winrar takes care of that. Saving seems the best option out of the two you are getting. To make sure that you can use the .ppf file, copy and paste is into another folder as it will not work properly if it is in a zipped folder. Hope some of this helps.

Just about to try it again. So far I have placed the original cd in my dvd drive i then opened CDRWIN and selected the image file I created a new folder called winning eleven and then clicked on start.
After about 2 or 3 mins it had finished that operation and I then opened the PPF programme found the winning eleven bin file and I isereted it where it says ICO file I then placed Chapman poatch where it says patch.
My PPF O Matic says

Just a few questiouns.
I am going to change the names to their real names and transfer the players to their correct clubs (unless done already in the ptach). If I do this but load another patch later on will all the data I created change?
I am intrested in creating another patch updates the grounds how do you do 2 patches on 1 game?
