Patching PES5 ruined my DVD !!

I really need help for this, I downloaded all of nofx patch and extracted all of it. Then i put my PES5 dvd into computer and got the iso. Now i used PPF o matic to patch the files, i did how it says in the thread. Now when i go to ISO BUSTER it look at the ISO file - it looks like this:

When i checked the unpatched ISO it looks like this in ISO BUSTER

Whats wrong?! I patched it properly, i did it in the order it says:
*1 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the ppf1 ppf to the iso................
*2 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the ppf2 ppf to the iso.................
*3 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the fix.ppf ppf to the iso...............
*4 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the update.ppf to the iso................
*5 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the update_fix.ppf to the iso...........
*6 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the megaupdate.ppf to the iso...........
*7 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the update141205.ppf to the iso.........
*8 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the update141205_fix.ppf to the iso......
*9 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the wm2006_241205.ppf to the iso.........
*10 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the Final.ppf to the iso................
*11 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the Final_fix.ppf to the iso............
*12 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the kits_update.ppf to the iso..........
*13 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the kits_update_II.ppf to the iso.......
*14 Using ppf-o-matic3 apply the kits_update_III.ppf to the iso......

And there was no problems in extracting, because i use Internet Download Manager i was able to pause the resume the downloads when filefront suddenly stopped working (which it did).

And when i burnt it onto disc this is what it looked like:

This is what the original PES5 looks like:

And you can tell they look and have different number of files !! There is something wrong, i even wasted another DVD-R just to try burning at a lower speed and same thing.

Really need some help here!

ok, so you've wasted a DVD-R but it's not the end of the world ;)
(some people go as far as wasting 8 disks - but if it doesn't work the first time, it almost definitely won't work by burning it again)

I always wonder about these big patches when they come in so many pieces. Patching the game shouldn't change the number of files in the iso.
Try applying the main ppf1 and ppf2 files and see if that works ok.
What method are you trying to play the patched disks with?

Thnx for your reply.
I have a chipped PS2, its not my first time playing copied games. I have about 8 copied games so i know how to do all that stuff , its just the patching bit that i'm new at. When i play the game it says NO DATA.Also I am applying the patches to my copied PRO EVO5 iso, do i have to do it to the original real game iso?

I am going to try ppf 1 and 2 and see what happens, but i cant burn it as i dont have any DVD's left at the moment.

I applied PPF 1 patch to my pro evo iso (copied one) and thats when all the files go weird:

Has anyone tried this patch?? Did this happen to anyone?

That patch worked fine for me when I tried it, although I didn't apply every single update.

I'd suggest deleting your ISO, ripping a new one and then trying again but not with all of the updates.

After all the effort you've made in creating this thread, you better not be talking about a copied, Beta version of PES5 because nofx clearly said in his thread that his patch only works with the retail version. :erm:

As far as I know, there haven't been many people (if anyone at all) that hasn't managed to patch their PES5 DVD successfully with nofx's patch.

Have you tried reading through the later pages in nofx's thread? There were some people who had problems in extracting the RAR files correctly. I suppose that may be the source of your problem. ;)

no, its not the beta version. But it is a copied iso of the full retail version. As i copied the iso from the retail version then burnt it onto my disc. It is until now that i thought you could patch a PS2 game.....i didnt have any problems extracting i just selected the first 5 rar files and clicked extract here.
Do you need to patch onto the ORIGINAL iso ? as i have an iso copied from that.

When i burnt it using DVD devrypter, i have to select the iso file rite? some guy in that thread said he selected the mds file and it worked for him.

Also, is it normal that ISO Buster shows red crosses wen i view the patched iso?

As far as I know, patching a copy of the original PES5 DVD is fine. A mate of mine patched his copy not the original disc.

The game still worked though.

I'm not sure what you're problem could be though.

I just have this feeling that it may have something to do with the download itself. If you say you're having no trouble in extracting the RAR files and patching your ISO using PPF-O-Matic, then I guess there's a chance that the PPF or RAR files may be corrupt.

No one seems to be downloading that patch anymore. And I think it may be due to the lack of recent activity in that thread.

thnx agen for your reply.
But i think you are right that there is something wrong in the downloading because i use Internet Download Manager and when downloading it sometimes downloads at 0 bytes/sec so i close it and wait for 5 mins and resume the download, and it starts downloading again. but the file sizes are correct as i checked Zygalski's post in that thread.
But surely if the file sizes are correct then there isn't any problem in downloading?

This is doing my head in!! i'm gonna have to leave patching forever and stick to option files.

Maybe you can give me a link for a good patch?

You might want to ask nofx about your problem. He usually hangs around at the evo-web forums.

I reckon there's a lot more people who can help you with your problem over there.
