I am in the process of patching using a ripkit and Apache2, I am having trouble opening the patched RIPKIT ISO with Apache2. It will just nort open it for me to import the e.text.afs and o.text.afs.....

Can anyone help!!

Have you tried using CDMage? This may work as you now have a CD image as opposed to a DVD image. Give it a try.
