Patching vs Max Drive

Howya folks,
just trying to get a general idea of what people prefer.
I got WE9 and patched it no problem but i'm considering getting a MAX DRIVE and using this to get full edits.
What do people prefer doing and if patching using option files what discs are the best to use!!!!!

The kits on max drive/x-port option files only contain what can be made using the ingame edit mode. Patched kits are only limited by a person's imagination and ability in using paintship or photoshop - where virtually any kit design along with colours and logos are possible. Patched kits do look better as it is possible to grab a picture of the real kit, for example the Liverpool kit and just copy and paste the "Calsberg" logo onto your kit and then you would have to modify it's size and position. As opposed to making the text using basic shapes in edit mode.

The best PES/WE experience is using a good patch with an update option file (using the kits from the patch and the player data from the option file).

Using a downloaded option file is not patching - patching involved burning patched images onto new disks. It is best to burn patched images onto disks at the slowest speed possible. There are very few slow media types available so anything that allows 2x burning speed is good. The reason for slow burning is to preserve the health of the ps2 laser.

Usually the latest one released tends to be the better one. It's still a bit early for an amazing PES5 patch to be out.
