Hi Folks,

My problem is as follows.

I've downloaded the demo from both Filefront and File Planet. Unzipped it to a desktop Temp folder and double clicked the setup.exe. All went well, it installed fine (or seemed to) and then I proceeded to double click the PES shortcut (or the .exe in the folder) and nothing happens. I get an hour-glass mouse icon for about 5 seconds, then nothing. If I ctrl-alt-del to task manager, it shows a "pes3.exe" as running but there's nothing there. I'm stumped as to what to do. I've tried uninstalling and deleting the Konami folder from Program files, then reinstalling but with the same symptoms.

After unzipping the main file, there are about 20 or so files in the Temp dir. Then after running the setup.exe I have a Konami/Pro Evolution Soccer 3 Demo version folder with three files, pes3.exe, setting.exe, readme.txt and another folder called "dat". Inside "dat" I find just two files, data_e.afs and over.afs. Is this correct? Any help or info would be hugely appreciated.

If I go to the Compatibility tab under properties and switch down to 98/ME or 95 and check all 4 boxes below, then try to run the exe file, the screen turns black for 3 seconds then dumps me to the desktop again. I've tried turning all display options to the lowest possible.

For the record, I'm running Win XP with a p4 3.06ghz and 2 gig of ram. Radeon 98, dx 9b and all hardware meets any specification.

Help!
