this was seen on another forum and i have been playing all night with no slow down at all it runs perfect

go into pes settings and set game in windowed with resolution set same as your desktop

start game in window and bring up windows task manager
click on pro evo then right click on pes.exe

set priority to real time then play and enjoy

just maximize window for full screen

this is guaranteed to work in Xp only

tried on 3 different pcs all different specs all different graphics cards

Thanx!! It works smooth now :) Only a problem when pressing Esc or Alt+F4, it takes a loooooong time to response, but it works anyway ;)

i have found now if you maximize screen it slows again so keep it in full window and it runs fine at high res also close any other programs or apps

I find in Windows 98 it runs perfect (no speed variations) if I'm playing with 16bit colour and in a Window. If it's not in a Window the speed varies too much. If it's in a Window but in 32-bit colour then the cut-scenes are too slow.

I'm playing the demo BTW.

This seems to work in window mode...kinda. Unfortunately, once you go to full screen mode, the priority automatically switches back to normal, which makes the game slow down again. Anyone got an idea how to fix that?
