Can anyone tell me how you take penalties as i can't score one unless the goalie dives out of the middle of the goal.

Its becoming a joke now, as online player just commit fouls in the box knowing you'll miss 99% of the time.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I love the new penalty format! YOu just need to learn how to take them, once you do its really cool!

New penalty system is GREAT. And what even greatest is when you play online and a penalty is given to your opponent, all you have to do is not to move at all because only a few people really know how to score a penalty. Never conceded a goal from a pen online yet :cool:

It would be nice to have a meter that shows how much power you want in the shot. It's a bit tricky trying to guess how long I have the button down to prevent the ball from going into crowd.

The video link is really helpful and I recommend it. But there is something unnatural about taking penalties in this game.

It does suck, but brace yourself - youy wont believe this but:

1. last night I got a penalty online
2. Even more amazing instead of the game ignoring me and just blazing it down the middle it went HIGH and WIDE! how did I manage it? I dont know, I was more elated than if I had scored.

come on guys, it is not that difficult,

just start a training session and pick the team(s) you use for online mode and the player(s) who is your PK taker,

then practice a couple of penaltys until you know how long you should press the buttons to get the ball nicely in the corner,

my tactic is to first hold analog stick in the desired direction, then press the shoot button for about 1 second and release the analog stick about half a second later, but it depends on your players shooting and PK skills how long you can hold your buttons, the better the player, the longer you can hold them..

I quite like the new penalty system. It now requires skill, and is not just a lottery.

My problem is that, instead of learning from youtube, the game itself should have a penalty tutorial, instead of just a text explanation of how to take a penalty.
