PES 09 Cheats

I have been playing PES09 online on PS3 for a while and a few times i have noticed a few cheats. Last night i was playing a guy called (REMOVED) and the game was flowing well. On the 88th min i scored to lead 5 - 4. Then his signal strength went on red permanetly. Belive it or not i could no longer get the ball, It was like his players started ice skating with the ball and they became untouchable. Then he got a corner on the 90th min, he took the corner the ball landed to my man, i booted it up field but the ball like disappeared from my mans feet and ended up on his mans feet. Then once again his player started ice skating towards my goal, Then the ball went out again for a corner. Belive it or not this happended 3 times until eventually the ball ended up in the back of my net.

Then sure it went to extra time, I kicked off and the ball disappeared from my feet and went to his man ETO, who then started skating again until the ball ended up in my net.

I wrote a message to the guy saying you are cheating and ofcourse he did not reply.

Eventually with frustration i decided to turn of the system and i lost 3 - 0.

I have read rumours on the net that certain people have such cheats and are able to jam the network to their advantage.

Can anyone shed any light on this and if so what are they doing and is there anyway to counter act against it, And any ideas on how to avoid such players.

They are sitting constantly disconnected and reconnecting thier modem/router. If they are the host then their game will continue playing whilst yours freezes.

Just dont play PES 09 online...it is just not worth the hassle in the slightest.

I actually had a moment like that last night too!
everytime i got into his half the ball seemed to dissapear from my players feet and be at his players feet,
i managed to battle it out till half time 0-0 (Chelsea - Real Madrid)
when it came to the restart the ball wouldnt even reach the 2nd player (raul) who was at the centre spot! (litterally like a football width away from the other player)
and he just steamed ahead past my players as though they actually were not there!
he went on to win 2-0...which in a way i was slightly proud of considering i couldnt step into his half with the ball.

im not sure if this is cheating or it is genuine connection problems but it did frustrate me!
im not even bothered if i win (im a boro fan...that should say it all)
some of the best games ive been involved in ive been beat!
But if it is connection problems they need to do something with those different coloured lights!...and im not colour blind.

i was gonna start a thread to ask this, but maybe it can be answered here, how are the connections rated?

I usually see my connection yellow-green, i have never seen it red, but some players dont like to play with me because they say i look red, but i got a kick ass connection at home and i never have problems of any type with my Internet connection. I thought that if I see my connection purple everybody sees my connection purple, but now i think its not like this

is this because i am not on the US and most of them are? (does the distance between players affect the connection?)
