Try running the game in Safe Mode and, painfully, play as long as you can without it crashing. If it crashes, you've a fundamental hardware issue or your installation is not completing correctly.

If it doesn't crash, something loading at startup (Start Menu -> Run -> type msconfig -> Press ENTER -> Click on the Startup tab) is conflicting with the game.

nope ;/
its saying : you computer does not meet the minimum specification nececerry to run this software you may experience errorrs during operation
and when i click ognore my game is crashing again with this error( send and dont send) in the start of the game

Aside from disabling startup items (via the msconfig option) through trial and error, I don't know precisely what you can do.

Hi looks like this might be a common problem. I also cant get PES 2010 to run crashing when trying to start it up

So I did what you suggested and moved into safe mode and im getting the same error I think ie Quote"Your computer does not meet the minimun specifications to run this software
You may experience errors during operation
The video card does not have the the necessary specifications (GPU:Shader 2.0)
The settings cannot be reflected due to the computers specifications.

???
My specs are:

AMD athlon 5200+ x2 x64
memory : 5gb ddr2 667 mhz
Windows xp professional x64 Edition
BFG nvidia 8800gtx 768mb

Also ive installed it on a second hard-drive not with operating system but i doubt this means anything

Any1 having same issues or can help at all?

Cant beleive konami have overlooked such an obvious problem but....

Players themselves load OK in the editing menu.

Running on XP (x32), the demo ran perfectly (not a download, game came in the post this morning, DVD surface is flawless)

I've tried reinstalling and playing on the lowest graphical settings with no sound, and tried with updated sound and video card drivers.

CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz x 2 (3.00Ghz) - Good
RAM: 2.0 GB - OK
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT (PS3.0/VS3.0) - Good
VRAM:Good 512 MB - Good

I cant think of other interfering processes, the only other programs running are ZoneAlarm, Avast, Locate32 and Speedfan

Please help! Any ideas?

I tried updating to v1.01 but still no success.

Maybe this is a problem with old-ish nvidia cards?

Also, how do you play the game in "safe mode"?

I'm having the same problems as well...have Googled up and down and finally found this forum that has a thread on this topic at least...

Some times able to play exhibition for 2-3 matches, typically within 1 match, before crashing.....

My System:
Intel E5200
4GB DDR2 RAM
9600GT 512MB
Win XP Pro XP3

any help would be GREATLY appreciated :)

Hey!
I've bought the game about a week ago and I've installed on my PC. It worked fine, I haven't experienced any problem yet. Then I decided to install it on my notebook, because I'm travelling a lot. And since then, I've not been able to get this game working. I've tried all possible permutations of the settings and regardless of the actual setting it always crashes. Most of the time it crashes before a match (while the pitch, stadium and the teams are being loaded), however sometimes I can play one fixture (1 out of 20 tries), but no happiness and sunshine, because it dies before the second one. I've downloaded the latest drivers, but no success. I have always the same problem:

I have encountered the same problem and I know what is causing the game to crash (at least for me)..

My game crashes when I try to play a match, it crashes right after the stadium loads and the teams logos shown...every single time.

When I select training it plays completey normal and does not crash.

It crossed my mind that it could be a problem with the stadium...

and guess what?

IT IS, it is a problem with the default stadium which is "Konami Stadium".

I tried 3 or 4 other stadiums including wembley, olimpico... and they all
played very well and very normal... and I played a complete match, and exit back to the main menu and selected another stadium and so on.

no crashes at all.

and just to be sure, I selected the konami stadium again, and it immediately crashed again just like before.

maybe thats why some of you are able to play a match or two with out a problem
maybe because you are changing the stadium?

well thats how it worked for me..

please let me and the others know if it worked for you or if you have an actaul fix.

buy buy konami stadium untill a fix is released.

(Sorry for my English... :p)

I think the stadium is one of the problems, but I've still got the problem, and I think the other problem could be team logo or names of some players (maybe it's stupid, but it's assumption ) And I can play all match only with famous clubs such as Milan, Roma, Man. United... English, France... But when I try to play with teams like Parma, Totenham, Serbia, Montenegro... I've got the crash!!!?

IS THERE ANYBODY SERIOUS WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? I'm starting to be realy nervous!!!

And one more question! Is OS and Game that you are playing original? (Mine is not! :)

Well, since my last post I've installed SP2, but the problem still exists. I tried what hemi1406 and petarv.8 had suggested, I selected famous clubs and various stadiums excluding the Konami stadium, but it didn't work for me. Besides that the game sometimes crashes while I'm figuring out the game mode in the main menu. I honestly have no clue what causes the problem.

Im really sorry to know that it did not work for you, for me it is only a problem with konami stadium, even small clubs work just fine.

Sound can be fault too, try go to control panel - sound and audio - Volume - speaker setting - advanced - decrease the hardware acceleration.

I just installed the patch 2.5 for PES2010 on my pc (Windows 7). Whenever i try to play any match(be it exhibition or ML(BAL crashes anyway)) it just crashes and the game terminates abnormally :'( . Have I installed the patch in a wrong manner or is it something else?
Please show an exact way to install patches. :|
