PES 2009 - PS3 - Online - Connection is green then turns red??

When I enter 'Network' mode and go online, I create a room and my connection is a constant green. As soon as someone enters the room, my connection turns from green to a constant red. Most of the time, this is followed by the user who just entered also turning from green/yellow to red or flashing red.

This results in most people leaving my room, or if we do end up playing, it is slighly laggy and the playing conditions isnt very good.

This has been happening for the past week or so. This happens even late at night when the servers are not that busy/almost empty. Before this, I experienced no problems, and I always had a green/yellow connection and I played most games with no problems.

As far as i know, my internet is OK. I seem to surf and download fine. My PS3 connected to my router wirelessly. I have installed the new update (1.00.02 i think - dont know if this has generated my problem or not?)

Anyone else experiencing this? If anyone has any help, tips or advice on whats wrong or how to fix this I would really appreciate the help.

The same happens with me. I think when it's green it's showing your general connection to their servers. When it goes red as soon as someone enters your room, it's because it's showing your connection to that opponent. I don't understand why this would suddenly start happening though, if it was fine before.

I can only presume it;s the update that's done it. I downloaded that pile of poo last night. Took me about 4 hours on html download! (P2P just crashed my PS3). I stayed up until 2AM waiting so i didn't leave my PS3 on all night. Anything that is so shoddily done that it crashes your machine and takes that long to download has me worried about the effect it could have. Konami have a habit of making things worse as well, so it really wouldn't surprise me if this is the issue. The whole game frustrates the hell out of me, i was expecting perfection.

The only answer is to buy Fifa mate. It gives you no heartache, and after nearly a month of owning both games, I can safely say that it has overtaken Pro Evo, even offline. And I was as hardcore Pro Evo as anyone up until now, so what I say shouldn't be taken lightly.

Dont do P2P to download, it will be like downloading a torrent from a bad server/seed.

Do HTTP - if you have half decent broadband should download pretty quickly.

I startes P2P was doing like 1% every 5minutes would have taken ages so did HTTP and downloaded quite quickly in about 10 mins. Update is cool but ONLINE PLAY IS STILL CRAP!
