PES 2009 Question

I always use the D pad to control my players and not the analogue stick.

In PES 2009 I’ve seen that you now use the D pad for special moves rather than the right analogue stick from games past.

Does this mean that you now have to use the analogue stick for controlling players?

I ask because I only play PES using a Sony controller. I’ve always owned the game on PS2 until last year when I was going to buy a PS3 (because I didn’t want to play it on my 360, for above reasons) but in the end I got it for my PC with an adapter so I could still use the Sony controller and decided to wait to get a PS3 with this years Pro Evo release.

If you do now have to use the analogue stick to control players I may well just stick with my 360….

Any answers would be great.

How do you know that the analogue will be default? No one revealed aything yet I think.

Im betting its because you get better control and response from analogue because of the ability to move it in 360 degrees rather than stiff movement from D-pad!

Oviously you can, some people like playing with the analogue and some people prefer d pad.

i think it may just be a combination of the dpad buttons to do special moves, for example that flick to the side is left than right in pes2008, maybe to do the chip up will be up then down on the dpad but you will still move with it, would be difficult though, how would you do the zidane turn on a dpad!
