I've been playing PES since about the 3rd version and I have to say 2010 is probably my least enjoyable for a number of problems that really should have been ironed out after 10 editions:
1. It now seems almost impossible to be awarded a penalty. You get blatantly fouled and the ref does nothing. Very annoying.
2. The AI during Become a Legend mode seems to have a major glitch. Anyone else noticed sometimes the AI script for your defenders can randomly cease leaving the attackers to stroll past them and score. I notice this happens a lot when the oppositon counter attack from one of your corners. The defenders just watch the attackers go past.
3. Dunno if it's just my version but on ML I find it impossible to buy anyone. Im villa (fairly decent ranking to begin with). Three seasons in and I've come 2nd in the league once and got the semis of the Champions League. Still no one joins. I tried a test and found the crappiest player I could at some very low club. And guess what. He wont join.
4. And finally something that has hindered every version of PES which is what makes you shout at the screen, "I didn't pass that there!!!!!".
How about instead of re-touching the graphics or getting extras licences they sort out some fundamentals. ten editions and still the ref AI cant decipher a penalty. What are they playing at? I never thought Id say this but I might consider Fifa next time around. It's like they're taking the piss. How can the game be getting worse?
