Pes 2013 ?

Firstly Happy New Year everyone !
I would like to give some points for what I would like in PES 2013,That is if they are going to release a new game!
I sometimes think that players have to much aggression or Attack Mindedness,The ball seems to go behind the pass reciever and the balance of play,I think this needs to be tweaked.
I also think that the animations in the cut scenes need improving.I do think that the playersl look real, but only as stills, they need to add more life into the players faces and expressions,I don't want them like Fifa but just better than they are at the moment.
I also enjoy International Cup mode,so I would like an option to watch the computer teams games if I want.
That is all that I can think of for now, thanks

Konami just announced that the pes series has been discontinued .
Such sad news.
Atleast we have all the great memories.

Shooting in real life isn't very consistent. If it was, then everyone would score everytime they shoot. Some players even hit penalties off target

From Adam at WENB

''Guys, I'm going to be teasing bstard, but you'll be without me most of next week as I'm demoing our biggest Ubisoft titles at press and retail events until around Thursday. So I'll be off from this post until then.

So anyway, PES 2013 is shaping up really REALLY nicely. I'll be honest, I have this reserved approach to it all, because its very different to what it was supposed to be. I need to snap out of it, because I'm unintentionally underselling it, and perhaps making your expectations lower naturally.

Now some of you might welcome this approach, but overall it's kind of like refereeing against a player who jumps around a lot who goes down under a clear challenge for a penalty. Predetermined judgement can impact your quality of officiating. Hopefully you get what I'm trying to say.

So anyway, PES 2013 answers so much of what we wanted, plus that little bit extra. Keepers :) Shooting :) Passing :). Adjustments to a magnitude of different gameplay elements has created a fantastic experience, so much so I'm finding it hard not to start expecting a high quality football game. Think realistic player control, new attributes created to factor in defensive ability and ball control.

Hell even the animations. Now I'm not talking about FIFA levels of overall movement and presentation, but I am talking another bump up in quality from PES 2012. Think a silly variety of individuality in this respect, too.

And, along with this, some massive breakthroughs in correcting various issues within game modes that have hindered the potential. Yes, very cryptic, but right now I have to be.

With me being away, the podcast is up in the air for next week. Suff and Alan could potentially do something, but I'm thinking a week out, and then lets hit big the week after with hints and much more.

So have a good week, and we'll get talking as soon as I'm back.

Speak soon.''

Can't wait to play PES 2013. Not expecting insane amounts of improvements, but will assume the game will progress once again - like it has every year since the dark days of PES 2008.

We're not that far away now.

As long as it improves more than PES 2012 did from PES 2011, I'll be happy. Not expecting an overhaul of animations, but is the rumours about this new engine true OnlyProEvo. I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to give a proper answer as the news of PES 2013 is thin on the ground. Hoping for some news in a weeks time

The new engine was the plan, but konami changed plans and wait the the engine for next gen.

Can anyone confirm this?
I hope they didn't change plans as I don't want to play on an outdated engine

Yeah but pes 2012 you simply can't aim your shots. It's awful. I'm not saying make every shot go in! FIFA shooting is perfect! Nobody can be happy with shooting in PES can they? It's laughable.

Do you think the next Call of Duty will take away the ability to aim your gun??? NO because they are not stupid!

Placing your shots is very bad on PES, even for world class strikers like Van Persie. If I try finishing it on the right, it shouldn't be placed on the left.

But the Call of Duty is just too extreme for an example

Yeah bit extreme but is so frustrating. It's either play Fifa where you have full control over your player and what you do with him, but terrible AI or Pes where you can't shoot the ball where you want. Really pissed off.

In PES2011 we had the issue with fast players perenially being caught by near corpses. We had players like Arshavin who with feints could dominate a game. There was the reaction to through balls as well or lack of it that was ridiculously annoying oh and the player select glitch.

In PES2012 we have the issue of dribbling being too razor sharp and fast players being exactly that, too fast. The reaction to through balls is still present (defenders oft misjudging through balls, especially flighted ones instead of jumping to head the ball, when the it would be easier to jump than to avoid it completely).

If they can find a happy medium, I'm hopeful. If I find on the first game that players can twist and turn like Michael Jackson, the game is going back for a refund.
