Wasn't moaning.

Whilst I have moaned like hell about scripting, cut-back goals etc in the past.....Since I havent played PES this year at all, I am kind of detached from all its little insanity inducing flaws.

Just claiming some glory. I argued this for donks and got pelters on this forum and on many many others.

Really don't understand you sometimes.. Anyways, wouldn't it be great if the "Momentum of the Game" -or- the sudden AI shifts had a reason behind them?? A Reason behind the Reaction.

For example, instead of the game just deciding whom will have the Advantage before the game even begins.. Instead of the "Scripted System" -wouldn't- it be great if We could have a say in the Happenings of a Match??

For example, if we are playing against Manchester United -and- we effectively Contain both Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney -then- the momentum of the game, or the AI should shift to our Advantage, the Momentum would be ours.

Or, if we are playing against Boca Juniors -and- we effectively Contain Juan Roman Riquelme -then- the Momentum of the game should be on our side.. and Viceversa.

I think something similar would add a Significant amount of Realism to an already decent game. What do you think?

Great in theory....but probably impossible to implement in a succesful way into the game...

Hence the classic match scripting templates which are meant to mimic how real games are played out. Arguably in 1 player mode, this is an ok thing (except when u keep replaying a crucial Master League game against some shitty inferior team the CPU just does not want you to win). But in 2 player mode, it is about as welcome as a dose of bowel cancer.

because for the temper bar you would need scripting for the temper bar to rise and for something to happen when the temper bar rises or drops. so scripting is the way forward without scripting all thats going to happen is the ball stay in the middle of the pitch because the buttons are scripted to do something when you press them

Maybe it is Impossible.. but I think it's too soon to start labeling things as "impossible to implement".

I don't know that much about programing, etc, etc.. but maybe Konami could come up with a system to Dictate the Happenings on the Pitch. For example, creating a New system that consists of; 2 Stats and a Confidence Level Gauge.

The 2 Stats Determine each player's "Confidence Level" -and- the "Confidence Level" Dictates the happenings on the Pitch. The 2 Stats could be; Mentality and Consistency.

1) Mentality - To determine how well a player copes with the pressure In the Pitch. The higher this Attribute, the more Consistent the player is throughout a Particular Match.

- The Mentality dictates the "Confidence Level" of each Player -and- Consequently each Team.

2) Consistency - To determine a player's Consistency throughout the Season. the higher this Attribute, the more likely the player will start the Next Match with a good "Confidence Level".

- So the 2 Stats complement each other -with- the Mentality Stat having more of an Influence in a Game -and- the Consistency Stat winning more Importance in Longer Tournaments.

And with this 2 Stats, the Game should have a bar or gauge to represent each player's "Confidence Level" throughout a game. Maybe a 1-99 Gauge, the higher the Confidence Level -the- better the player will play, with Stats going up for a given time.

On the other hand, if the Confidence Level of a player is Low -then- his Main Stats should go down -making- him harder to find on the Pitch, making him Less Effective for a given Time (momentarily) -or- until you can get him back in the game.

And, each player's Confidence Level should Vary Depending on each player's Mentality and Consistency Stats. I think something Similar would make each game feel unique and more Realistic -because- more things would Decide the Outcome of each Game.

And what better way to Dictate the Momentum throughout a Game -than- via Reliable and Precise Stats..

Maybe it is impossible (as you said) -but- It just doesn't sounds Impossible.. Maybe in a couple of years.

Konami didn't say that it's scripted. They said that IT FEELS ALMOST scripted. All Pes games are scripted btw and it's random like a football match.

I think its cool that the game is BENT....but I agree with AMATEUR about the game should get BENT depending on how you play. If your star players play bad then maybe the other team should get some momentum. Or if your defense is allowing shots to fly left and right at your goalie, maybe get the other team some momentum for that. It could be implemented and it would be very real.

OFF TOPIC....Seabass said the new stadiums are much improved and that the atmosphere is also much better. I really hope that's true. PES 2008 at times had great atmosphere but not enough really....I hope in this one the fans go WILD when you make a good run or string together a few good passes or make a good tackle. Would be awesome.
