PES2 Is Fixed!!

Does anyone else find that the Master League is fixed to some extent?

I have won the Master League division 1for 4 consecutive seasons, and have (what I think) the best squad of players available. Most games I trounce the opposition by a good 3-5 goals. But I can't win every game!
Every now and again, the computer seems unbeatable.
My players will forget how to play a short straight pass. The PS2 will win every tackle, or the loose ball will bounce to their men every time. I'll get near goal and Raul will forget how to shoot straight, or Zidane will develop a touch like a baby elephant.
This seems like too much of a coincidence. I accept that some players have "off days", so when a few passes go awry I take them off. But when there's 3 games to go and I've won every game so far...suddenly they have unbreachable defence!

Am I being paranoid, or is anyone else getting this?

It does seem to happen.
Are you playing on Extreme?

My solution is to round the keeper and walk it into the goal.

Ask rebusrahman, he knows about this!

I have won every game in a season on the Hard difficulty setting, but that is just piss easy, I'm now working on trying to do it on extreme.

I know what you mean about the passing and shooting thing though. It really bugs me sometimes because you could have your strongest team out and they are all quite fit, but you can't seem to get the ball out of your own half.
Thats another thing i've noticed that towards the end of the season, like the last few games, the computer teams even sh*te ones turn into Real Madrid just for that particular time period.

You shouldn't be paranoid because its happening to me aswell.

This also happens to me.All I have to do is use my dribbling. If that is also impeered use the simple feint or turn to beat the keeper and then tap it in.Or I got players who have a high Morale like Earnie Stewart,he scores many late goals.:D ;)

I forgot to say I mean Winning Eleven 6 FE.This game needs skill to win the simplest games. The simple feint has to be done at the right time.:D ;)

its probably all to do with the arrows... in the options screen before a game theres loads of arrows.... in master league they are always question marks meaning the players performance will depend everytime. when the players do not have the right arrows or the team doesnt whatever, you will have to work harder to win.

I never knew this.I have to get the WE 6 FE guide.I saw it in an Asian Catalog.Got to see if there is any more exciting that other guys missed. This catalog keeps me upt to date with games that have re-edited and with original games also with Ps3 rumours.:D ;)

The arrow represent player form.
Up-red is the best and players on this will play great and keep their stamina higher.
The downwards arrows show poor form and players will under-perform and lose their stamina quickly.

The player stamina bars play a large factor in the use of your squad as rotation needs to be used well.

(Yeah, I'm playing on Extreme)

I never pick a player who has either got a downward blue or grey arrow, or a player who has less than full stamina. I always rotate the squad.
If Rivaldo's not up to it, I put Kewell or Giggs in. Shevchenko under the weather, put in Vieri, Kluivert, or Owen.
But yet the computer still manages to churn out a draw...somehow!

I once got a hat-trick with Shevchenko on a blue arrow.
The man is a demon for goals!

And on PES1, I got a hat-trick by Berger for Czech Republic on a blue arrow but that included a pentalty and free kick.

hitman, any news on that guide to the arrows?
If you want, I'll put together something till we hear something official.

i would not agree that its is fixed i dont know if u know this but the PS2 actually remebers your stlye of play which makes it harder im palying extreme mode and im winnig games on averages about 7-0 i went the whole season without losing and guillt scored 48 goals and zico got 35 assits when you find your have troube the best thing to do is jus change formation to confuse the computer

I don't think there is any way for the PS2 to 'remember' your style.
How about when you turn it off?
It can't program decent player AI and yet it can read your mind?
Nah.

BTW, How many classic players are in your squad?

i think that it does if u paly the same for mation for a whole season u will be as succsesful if u were to vary your formations

That could be more down to the individual player getting lazy and used to how to play a certain way rather than the game being too clever.

If you play 30 games in one day you will do OK.
But if you play 15 games a day over 2 days, you will do better, I reckon.

Nah, I think it sounds like a load of Carsten Jank to me.
The computer doesn't learn, it just realised you won the last 4 games 6-0, so it turns Zidane into Bob Carolgees.
