I bring to you, the PES2 Tournoire™. All rights reserved.

It's going all French on us. And stuff.

Right, here's the score (well, the lack of a score, as of yet):

Several members (namely me and Zygalski) of these boards are hoping to organise a non-PESTAL tournament somewhere in a region of Britain. South-ish, preferably.

By South-ish, I mean anywhere around London. Or in London. I've decided to officially name it the PES2 Tournoire™ based on the fact that I felt like it. And it sounds good.

All I want to know at this stage is, are you interested? The following has been arranged:

  • Name of Tournoire™

The following is to be arranged (meaning, not yet!):

  • Where
  • When
  • How
  • Who
  • For what reason (prizes)

If you're interested in playing, then this is the place to say it. I don't care who you want to play as. Where's convenient for you? When's convenient? Are you willing to make a cash donation, 100% of which will be put back in towards a cash/non-cash prize?

Details about yourself might be useful, I'm not talking anything heavy-duty, an e-mail address will do, an MSN one if available. Or a Yahoo one. Or one that's not MSN or Yahoo, but is an e-mail address. A location of residence (e.g. Newcastle). This is a Britain based tournament lads (and ladies), but by all means if you want to cross the channel to play, be my guest. Just remember the cheap cigarettes and alcohol.

That's all. My contact details can be seen below. :D

Hi, my name's Zygalski and I'm a PESaholic....

Name:
How about calling it
"Le Pornoi" ??
(not sure about the correct spelling, we may both be wrong)
That's just a joke name though.
Still thinking of a good one.

Where:
I would like it close to London.
Somewhere with good links and easy to travel to.

When:
On a weekend day to be agreed.
(maybe one that doesn't clash with other tournaments)

Who:
Everyone from here who wants to and maybe a few friends of people here.

Prizes:
Entry fee combines and splits for the winnings for the top 3 or 4.
Winner receives a cheap trophy or shield specially made!
Entry fee should be more than £4 but less than £10.

How:
We may need up to four PS2s and TVs.
National teams only!!
We can discuss whether original squads are to be used or squads to be updated using players already in the game, eg Saviola into Argentina and Zenden into Holland.

Draw random groups, play each other once or twice depending on numbers. Top 8 go to quarter finals. One leg knockout matches and a 3/4 place match.

10 minute matches set to sunny day.
Players on random form, injuries on.

I am in East London.
Can travel.

I know a few people who may be interested in playing too.
(If anyone wants to bring someone along, maybe they could join this forum first?)

I am kinda influenced by PESTAL because it works well.
Interested in hearing other ideas.

We may need to organise stuff like food & drink, music, TV to watch, dancing girls etc......

Bonjour! I'm Gooner_Harmer, although I wish I could change my name! Anyway:

I think it should be called, 'Le PESnoir' Say PES as one word with noir at the end!

Where: I am quite happy to travel to London, or out of London, but I would prefer the location to be nearer the South of London.

Who: All available forum members and friends of them.

How:
We may need up to four PS2s and TVs.
National teams only!!

I agree Zygalski, personally I think they should be updated.

Prizes:
Entry fee combines and splits for the winnings for the top 3 or 4.
Winner receives a cheap trophy or shield specially made!
Entry fee should be more than £4 but less than £10.

I agree again. Maybe some consideration should be taken for the hall (If we use one) hire? If the hall hire is expensive so should the entry fee so that it covers them both and vice versa.

When:
On a weekend day to be agreed. It has to be planned and finalised at least one month before.

The way to play the play offs, it very much dependent on the numbers. If we get 16 players then maybe we should go in quarter finals. If we get 32 players (highly unlikely I know) then it has to go into the last 16.

Maybe the organiser or someone who has played in the PESTAL tournaments. could tell us how they organise it.

I am in East London.
Can travel.

We will need food, drink, music and strippers ;).

PESTAL works mostly how I described above.

Two, three or four groups, play each other once.
In League matches no extra time. If level go by goal difference etc.

Best 8 go to Quarter Finals with extra time and pens (no golden goal!).
Quarter Final ties based on group positions, eg 1v4, 2v3.
And so on.

Well, OK then.
I guess all that was a waste of time since it will be just the three of us.

So it's all round to Gooner's then?
Play each other 7 times in a mini-league...

or else PESTAL?

PESTAL sounds best. But hey, don't knock 3-man mini-leagues. They're good, don'tcha know.

Zyg, I'll stay in touch with you over PESTAL dates etc, cos I'm useless.

well, i dont think i'd be able to attend since i live so far away from london. but once you figure out some more details, such as location i can plug this on the main page..... then the tournament could be called.... "PES2 Tournoire - In association with PESInsight.com" !!!!!

Hitman, there is someone on other sites trying to organise a tournament in Manchester.
Do you think you would go for them?

i really cant afford train fares etc. at the moment. if theres something arranged for the north-east, or kent area (my dad lives there) then i would be able to attend. i MAY be able to organise a trip to this thing you guys are trying to organise if i can coincide it with a trip to my dads, but i dunno.
