Pes2010 - Sliders

These tactical sliders look ok. But i really do hope that they make a huge tactical difference to the game.

Problem is, we need to pause the game, goto the tactical menu to do that everytime...it's annoying if you're playing wit someone...

I quite like the look of the sliders but those bloody card things look tacky and very gimmicky but i need to learn more about them before i completely slag them off.

^The video explains it all really. They really do bring player individuality to another level. But yeah, we need to experience it before we can judge it.

Yeah......your right.

The thing that bothers me is the sliders we were shown are attacking. It's bad enough now being bombarded by the likes of Messi, eto and Drogba. I only hope that serious defensive tactics are added to the sliders- or else the game will just be about attacking at all cost's. They have to reward gamers with an eye for tactical awareness.

^Defenders will be according to their stats I believe. But the sliders will make a difference, but not as much as the attacking side. Well let's face it. The tactics, focuses more on the attacking side rather than defensive side because that's the way you create goals.
Anyway, it has been said over and over that the defensive play of pes 10 is really improved so a good thing.

1- They are easy and quick to use. and PESs menus have always been very quick and responsive.

2- How many times during a game will you really need to change sliders? Only times I can see myself doing it is before the game ( depending on the team I play against ) or if I go down or up a goal late in the match then I would adjust accordingly...

the only one maybe worth changing mid game would be overlapping runs, if your winning you may not want your defenders to go walkies on attack, but then again if your winning by 3 goals i wouldnt care, i certainly wouldnt change it if i was on top at 1-0 or until about the 70th minute.

the cards just seem basically like the special abilities stars of years past, nothing special at all, just a different name. i guess the fact you can turn them on or off is half decent in terms of AI. i just hope when you play barca the AI gets forward with players like Alves, or when you play Liverpool they have good long range efforts or shoot at all sights of goal with players like Gerrard.

Yeah, I said if i go DOWN or UP a goal it might warrant a change.

Half-time, too.

But I certainly dont think itll get in the way. You will be able to save 4 formations of these sliders and cards to use on-the-fly.

Can't wait to really try this. Hopefully this is incorporated into the demo to be released next week...counting down!
