PES3 won't start on PC

Ok, basically i just bought PES3 for the PC and it ain't working. At first it got to the konami titles and stopped (i have since done the cafe file correction), but now it just won't load at all. When i click on the .exe file the disc just spins and the game dosen't load. I've tried loads of things - updated drivers (and gone back to older ones); re-installing; the cafe file thing; installing the patch. Whats even more strange is the demo worked absolutely fine. My comp is easily good enough - 1.8Ghz; 256mb ram; GeForce 3 Ti 200, and yes i do have a DVD Drive if you wondered that could be the problem. Also the disc isn't the problem as it works fine on my mates comp. I've seen other people with the same problem on other forums but as yet no fix, could someone please help, I'm getting some serious Pro Evo withdrawl symptoms!
