PES4-played!

hi guys!
i was at the Games Convention in Leipzig this weekend and checked and played PES4 on the PS2.

bad news:
It seems the slowdowns at corners are way slower than they are in WE8.
there are NO striped shirts in the edit mode.
some of the licensed teams in WE8 are not anymore licensed in PES4 now.

good news:
game speed seems to have been a bit slowed down, which is good and makes gameplay far more realistic, not that arcade-like thing like in WE8.
strikers with top speed like Henry seem to be not THAT fast as in WE8, which makes it easier for defenders to catch up with them.
cool new animations (especially the goalie), which i havent seen in WE8 yet, but maybe they are in there as well.

and finally :

there was a sign below the screen stating that the game was finished only to 75 percent yet (though the game didnt look like 75%, it looked like the 100% version)
which fills me with hope that the bad news stated above might be turned into good news when it will be released.
but i doubt it.

yes, thats what im saying.
but lets hope its due to the 75% development state of the game.
(which i dont think is true, it looked like damned finished!)

i also played pes4, at the pesleague finals... and i personally found the gameplay to be MUCH quicker than WE8 not slower

When I played it at the PES3 National Finals, I also noticed a few licensed from WE8 teams weren't licensed. Well I wasn't sure if they were or not but they didn't have their badges when selecting a team, it just had numbers instead.

Also the slowdown was in it too, but someone asked the bloke who was running the finals (you asked didn't you hitman?), he said the slowdown will be fixed in time for release.

I think you played the same version as us, (the beta version) but Konami have promised to fix the slowdown by release date.

thx danny, thats the news we want to hear :) all pes4 needs is a slowdown fix, more licensed teams, better editing. Then its perfect!

Yeah, i think the teams that appear to be unlicensed will appear in pes4 as licensed, this must be a 75 complete beta build of the game. Slowdown should not appear either, as that amount of slowdown will not be tolerated in Europe. The game should be fine, and possible have a few more licensed teams in the game, heres hoping.

Guys,

If they already have the licenses in WE8, why won't they use it in PES4? It's probably because it was a BETA..... Don't think they only have the three leagues for WE8 and not for PES4..... All these worries are giving me a headache..... PES4 is going to be great....

i hope they do fix the slowdown though, though i think it would still be available on ps2, but diminished on xbox.

The thing is, licenses are usually regionally based and this could be the case with this. But I hop it's not.
