As this appears to be leaking out slowly anyway: yes I decided to bring the arcade back weeks ago and since being given all of the access I require to do so earlier this week, I have installed it on the server and it is working fine.

However, it remains in the testing phase which began on Wednesday due in particular to a feature I have asked the rest of the admin team plus Phatmann and Baddar to help to balance. More information will be given about this at the time of the arcade's opening.

Whilst I would love for that opening to be this weekend, it looks a bit unlikely unless there's a breakthrough in our balancing discussions. The testing phase will take as long as I/we feel we require it to be in order to avoid adjustments to this feature at a later date which will no doubt cause arcade downtime - something I'm sure most of you would rather avoid.

At the time of opening there will be at least 50 games though I am confident of there being many more.

All further details remain unconfirmed and will be confirmed by me only, either during the testing phase or simply when the arcade is opened and made available to you all.

Finally, elite members will definitely have some form of advantage.

You will be charged credits for using the arcade. Yes, those same credits you win by betting.

I will enjoy taking Barry's highscores. The name Barry must not be seen on any highscore lists, imo.

I hope there is some sort of wrestling game in the arcade :shifty:

I think all high-scores should be re-set before Arcade goes live. Some Admins might be abusing thir powers for sneaky practice...

I took one of Barry's scores yesterday. Returning to the PC after pulling my shirt over my head and dancing around my bedroom, Phatmann had been on and bettered mine. Ugh.

Admins were unaware of this too - all scores will be wiped before the arcade goes live.

They will be and yeah they are.

Arcade doesn't go live until all the admins are good

As an announcement, the moderators group now has access too. New users with access are mufcsean, Cookie and Ghost. This is aimed at speeding up testing and the access to moderators may be taken away within 48 hours.

The admins/mods will already have an advantage in the games anyway, so to expect members to use their credits on trying to beat a very decent score from the get-go is a bit harsh.

Question though;

How many ranking positions does the games save? Is it just the top 4/5 or is there a bigger list that can be found anywhere?

The highscore table will save all scores. I had left the setting on "highest score only" so when I came across Snake with 150+ plays and 6 highscores I frowned.

I can guarantee you at least 85% of the Snake plays belong to me. >_>

I need to announce this now so you're all aware and have time to get ready:

You will be charged credits for using the arcade. Yes, those same credits you win by betting. This is what is holding up the opening of the arcade as we're discussing exactly how much you'll be charged every time you play a game.
