Woops, forgot about that thread.

Get that WOAT Mass Effect out and put TLoU in! Otherwise I couldn't really argue with the choices, though perhaps only 1 of Fallout and Skyrim were needed.

My list would be..

Call Of Duty 4
Gears Of War 1
Grand Theft Auto V
The Last Of Us
Heavy Rain

Special mention for Far Cry 3

Perhaps only people who voted in the initial thread have a right to complain :)
Yes, I'm gonna be that guy.

Gotta be GTA5. But seems as though you bummers all called RDR the greatest game EVER a couple of months ago, then it'll win. Life from now on is futile and pointless.

Out of the ones on the list, it's a flip up between Red Dead Redemption and GTAV. If I was to have played GTAV more up to this point, then I may have been swayed but I don't think I can choose a game having only played just a little bit of the actual game.

I did like Fallout 3 as well, especially the soundtrack. But again I think I stopped playing at about 30% or so in. One of my favourite Fallout 3 pieces was the wonderful soundtrack.

Had I have made up a list and posted it - which I unfortunately haven't really had much time to do - I'd most likely have BioShock as my number 1. Since the demo was released many years ago for the original, from playing just the demo I fell in love with the game. It really is superb from start to finish with the incredible environment design and setting, along with a gripping story with some twists and turns.

From the list though, I'd have to go with Red Dead Redemption which I loved. It did take me two separate attempts to get into the story and gameplay of RDR, but I'm really glad I gave it another try.

As well crafted and fun as RDR is, I found the story and characters a little bit generic and one dimensional. It's like you sat someone down, got them to watch a shitload of westerns and then said "come up with some characters". From a story point of view, GTA5 is infinitely better.

Agreed, plus the travelling on a horse novelty worn off very fast and it just became so tedious getting about.
I put GTA V in my top 5 but I think IV should take its place. While GTA V is awesome it lacks the reply ability for me for some reason even though there is so much to do. Played IV for years but I'm so bored of V already.
The meh need for Speed style car handling doesn't help.

Storyline is nowhere near as memorable as IV.

I'm undecided on whether to pick Fallout or Skyrim..... siding towards Fallout at them moment. A game that came with my PS3 when I bought it, never thought I'd enjoy it as much as I did.

Who the hell is gonna pick Mass Effect? Its inclusion in this poll is pointless.

Mak - I actually prefer the handing in V compared to IV.

While the handling wasn't perfect on IV it took skill to be good at it and was challenging whereas V it's like an arcade racer. Big step backwards the handling for V going back to San Andreas style. The vehicles that should be fun like quads and crosses are just shite to drive and climb mountains as well as a super car :myword:
Have they even explained yet Rockstar why there is no police cars roaming in the game apart from when they are actively chasing someone? Ridiculous.

Yeah I agree with Mak, the first time I took a car offroad and up the mountains in V it was immensely disappointing. It's far too hard to wreck a car.

You cunt Matt, the story is what made RDR special. It's far more engrossing than GTA V in that respect. And GTA V is far better than IV, which offers no replay value whatsoever.

How many have actually played Far Cry 3?
It's like Sky Rim without the fagginess.
Awesome game and one of the best looking games as well I've played on the PC. Ropey storyline but great game play.

The real test of whether it's like Skyrim is: could I spend 400 hours playing it and still not have completed everything?
