Exactly. Its so obvious that the legendary gameplay is back, online seems to be sorted, modes have depth and edit mode is slowly returning and overall the game is looking sweat. That review was blatently written by a fifa fan who simply doesnt get pes. I can think of a million things that make fifa shit but he manages to keep them quiet only commenting on how much hes wanking himself off to it and constantly putting pes down for stupid things.

In the past fifa has always had more teams, depth etc but pes always had the gameplay and imo that standoff is now returning.

Man..i just wasted 5mins of my life looking over that piece of non-neutral crud. That buthole of a reviewer is basically just slating PES while bigging up Fifa...thats about it really imo. The obvious FFB(Fifa fan boy) just blows every PES downside way outta proportion and then makes it sound like Fifa's downsides are just so minor that you wouldnt even notice them. Obviously i aint played either game but as someone who is always open minded to both titles every year this review just doesnt sit right with me. Its really a waste of time reading it imo.

Btw: Thanks to Rama78 for making the effort to put this up though as there's nothing wrong with putting up new info/scans etc. Just a pity it doesnt seem neutral but tbh i basically agree with your whole comment that came with the link Rama78, and it could well have been the early build of PES2010.

@ ThierryHenry14: John Frusciante is a frickin legend man:D. Ive been listening to his solo stuff for years.

meh, for all we know this guy could be right. thats why before i go slating him i will wait and make my own judgement. i mean it wouldnt be the 1st time PES has promised so much and delivered so little, in fact its happened since the switch to next gen (which i guess by now must be seen as current gen!)

at the end of the day PES is gonna be a good game that keeps me in the master league for a few seasons, it all depends wether its good enough to make me wanna play many seasons over the 12 months or deviate into the other modes. so far i have got bored after about 5 months and only had one ML team, and certainly havent bothered with online. so hopefully that will change, and by the sounds of the revamped ML it will.

i mean the guy makes some worrying points if this is a later build, it sounds as though the AI will still commit fouls for you, and when he says that 3 players will run at a loose ball, i sure hope not!

although 1 key quote that shows this guy know nothing is when he says about the master league going "out of date one year after its introduction". No, just No, its by far the most popular mode in the game, and despite all the authenticity of fifas manager mode it has still beaten it sinces its introduction.

anyways, i wouldnt listen to this guy, but equally i wont write of FIFA, both games getting better is only good for the consumer.

^That guy was full of crap.
The AI doing fouls for you was totally gone even in the 50% build.
He was talking about pes 09 but using pes 10, obviously to slate PES.
I will listen to playtesters more that these because they proved they had the final build sort of.

That was gone even in the 50% build. Maybe he didn't even play the game at all.

well this is just me speculating but we should have a demo a little under 1 month to release. that was the trend with 08 and 09. but which code we get who knows!the 08 and 09 demos were a bit different to the final game, i remember preferring the 08 demo to the actual game, i scored a fantastic lob on it, then in the catual game lobbing went back to sucking. i never understood why you can only do a decent lob if you turn 45degrees before performing it. in the old pes the short lob was always high enough to beat the keeper meaning it was useful but perhaps overpowered, in the last few games the short lob is pathetic and the long one is so random! thankful the guys who have playtested it on here say lobbing is fixed!

last year I played the PES demo and didn't buy the game because IMO FIFA was far superior. But I'm thinking this year PES may be decent again so I'll probably purchase it :)

yes the lob has been rubbish in recent times. There was nothing better than lobbing a mate.
