For me it would really be added value if it were possible to play as the opponent of the 'playing team' in tournament modes, especially Champions League. So for, example, me and my friend would each pick a team, and then continuously play all the opponents of the other's team to see who gets furthest.
This is really just a matter of flicking a switch and it would increase my (and others probably) experience a lot.
