I've played about 10 matches online now and every single one has lagged. After most of them (or during half time) the opponent has moaned at me and called me a cheater/lagger.

This is really annoying me because I am not cheating and it is giving me a bad reputation. It's jumping around both halves of the game and if someone was lagging it then it would only do it one half so they should know i'm not doing anything.

I played PES6 on my PS3 and that was fine. It lagged ever now and that was only if I was playing someone with 1 bar or from another country. PES 2008 PS2 version is fine offline so I wouldn't think that it was the PS3 that is doing anything.

Is anyone else playing this version on the PS3, and if they are have they had a lag free match?

Also, if anyone has played online on their PS2, have you had a game where it hasn't lagged at all?

PES 6 PS2 on PS3 & PES 2008 on PS3

My experience is as follows:

After having bought the PS3 the PES 2008 wasnt out yet. So I bought a PES 6 for PS2 . This worked well both offline and online playing on the PS3 console.

When PES 2008 came out for PS3 I bought it the day it came out. The first week I had lag problems online but not less and lessening thereafter.

I am pretty happy with the online play of the PS3.

I sometimes get lag with 1 bar players (sometimes)

What I would love to see is online competitions embedded in the network menu of the PES 2008.
