Hi

without question pes is the best footy game on the planet but what i have discovered is on several occasions my defence wonder out of position giving the opposition a clear run at goal bearing in mind i use all the tactics given ie
man marking etc does anybody know how to stop this from happening or is it just part n parcel of the game it can be annoying

Suppose it would also depend on your attacking/defending arrows. My defence is set up pretty well. (The signs above the positions are meant to be the arrows).

I also play the left sided CB slightly further back to cover any mistakes. If there are 2 attackers I man mark with my 2 CBs. If there are 3 I let my right sided CB mark the central attacker and my full backs man marking the wide attackers, once again leaving a my CB to cover

The best way to defend is to just wait patiently for the ball, don't rush around too much cos that will cause your players to move out of position.

Well I have not recieved my copy of WE8:I (i live in the US), but what I try to do is like 'D' said, wait for the ball to come to you. What I do is; pick who I am going to defend with and then just sort of contain the attacker, then when I feel like the time is right, I go in for a tackle. I guess you could say that patience is the key.

Better to set ur defence further up the field. Use R2 to jockey and make sure the cursor is on manual so ur in control where ur defenders go. Offside then comes into play. practice with that and let us know how it goes
