download new players etc from this site.put them on a cd.put the cd in ur PS2. copy the data onto a memory card?

or is the only way thourgh the x-port?

You can update your option file if you patch the game. They use one of the latest option files as part of the patch and this gets saved onto your card (I think).

Patched games need a chipped/modded PS2 to play them on. Or you could find out who the Datel people made the update disk and make something similar using a downloaded option file.

Best option is an X-Port though.
