Post of the week?

i think we should have a post of the week.the winner of each week gets some forum cash or something.But i think its a cool idea eg.it could be the longest,funniest,stupidest... you know along them linesso whatdya think?

Could be a laugh; but it could more than likely turn into a popularity contest, with 'buddies' voting for each other, or new comers overlooked in favour of establised posters.

I think "Thread of the week" would be a better idea. There are less threads than posts, so it would be easier to decide.

Yeah, thread of the week sounds better, nice thought though by "Cali".

It's considerably less frequent than once a week that we get a good post or thread, certainly not often that one worth rewarding comes along. Having said that, an informal rewards policy where someone gets something for a particularly good one could be a decent thought, but attaching a rule that it is once per week is a bad idea. We already have rewards for people who post well though; they become veterans, which puts them under consideration next time we need new staffers.

How about if a thread meets a certain standard (of great interest or good point) whoever made it could get some star and the person with the most stars wins an award at the end of the year awards :happy:
