Some people have problems and it's hard to help without knowing everything that has been done. I suggest you follow the patching guide from that start.

Reset your PC and rip a clean ISO from your original disk and then apply the patch. Defragment your hard disk(s), reset the pc and then burn onto a DVDR at 1x or 2x.

I personally used pdx-ppf3 from megagames which is less user-friendly.. didn't test the progam in the guide so can't tell you if that's the problem.

Thanks.
That file comes with more stuff but the part that applies ppf files looks the same to me.

Well, but advanced is always good to use.

And first time I burned (and only time i did) it also was black. At first i thought it was because I had made a psx/ntsc/launcher installed but then I restarted my ps2 twice, and made sure the cd wasn't damaged, and it worked. Also if you're pc is about 2 ghz you can try to boot the image with PCSX2. It gets in.. and you see stupid stuff all around the screen and a couple of sounds effects come before the game freezes. If that happens then nothing wrong with the image.

If you're asking about the ntsc-pal or pal-ntsc then u simply open the program in the archive (which can be found in downlaods) then opent he program u want (there are 2, pal2ntsc and ntsc2pal). You press on the browse button and find the file then press patch. Then it's all done.
