No it isn't, Fifa is utterly cowdung.

I bought it last week as it was 19.99 on play.com to see if it was good and its not, it is rank rotten.

Pro Evo for all its faults is still far superior.

Disagree entirely. I've got both and cant bring myself to play Pro Evo for more than one game, as much as try because of how long i've been obsessed with the series for. Fifa is fresh, and mastering it reaps great rewards.

FIFA09 is very good, but it doesn't have the longievity of Pro. trigglebeef I can't believe you can only play one game of PES at a time - the variety in which you can create and score chances are so great, on FIFA it's all the same... finesse shot in the box scores every time. I am bad at FIFA, and using that tactic I was winning on World Class mode in 10 days of getting the game.

Fifa's graphics are better, so is MOST of the gameplay now. Never thought it would happen, but EA have made a corker of a game that just gets better and better the more effort you put in.

Why don't you pop to the fifa forum and read what fifa fans are saying about their beloved game. The majority are pissed of big time. I myself am loving pes2009 , for me the online is totally playable.

the update has totally ravaged the online play for me, it was perfect untill i downloaded it yesterday. konami are hopeless we have all been patiently waiting for over 18months for lag free games, how easy can it be compared to all the things going on at the same time in call of duty for instance.

not trying to blow fifas trumpet but their online is one of the least lagiest games ive ever played. played it for two days straight online and not a glitch, screen tear or anything. Just trying to give an example of the genre. Pes isnt dead but seing as only the gameplay and to a lesser extent the ML was keeping it alive they need to overhaul those two areas to recify this game.

So is this forum it seems... ha ha!

As someone who has no access to internet for my PS3 (and indeed, no PS3 at the moment, but that's another kettle of trout) I am always baffled when people say the laggy online is reason enough to hate the game. Sure FIFA's is all sussed and sounds amazing, but it's definately an inferior game, PES is at least a lot more fun, even if you are only playing the COM, or a mate with a second controller...
