Problem with maxdrive

I put the option file (.max) on to my mp3, put in the the max media CD. Place my mp3 into the ps2. Go to the max drive/PSP bit but it says there is nothing on the mp3.

why?

I am an amateur at this sort of thing.

1. Did you unzip/unrar the file before putting it onto the max drive?
2. Did you make sure you have the PS2 disk, not the PC disk?

err.... i have the ps2 disc and i just moved the file (which is something like Lennon_Pes6_Club.max) to my mp3. Then plugged it in loaded up the software but nothing came up when i went to the psp screen
