Problems with PES crashing using system encryption

ubiquity

Hi all,

I've recently encrypted my system partition using Truecrypt (AES).
After this, PES started freezing in the loading screens (when displaying the stars). I can't even bring up my task manager anymore, and I have to totally reset my computer. It appears like the stars are moving (switching black/wite colour) but at a VERY slow rate... which makes me think that CPU usage is off the charts. I've installed the game on a non-encrypted partition. However PES2009 still stores some files on the C:\ drive I believe, and I haven't found any option to change this.

Now, I've been able to play some games, because after the first crash/reboot.. it passed the loading screen. Then I had a crash when the game was loading the screen for the home/away kits. This time I could bring up taskmgr and then the game just seemed to have stopped. I restarted the game, and now I could get to the strategy selection screen and press start for both players to play the match. Now this loading screen with stars was taking ages. Did the same trick again and now I could even pass this screen too. But the next time I started the game it crashed at the first loading screen again and I had to do a complete reboot. Strange story, I know. I have no problems or any other noticable speed reductions with using other software/games while having my system partition encrypted.

I've updated my video drivers but that didn't help.
I've just decrypted the system partition and it started up fine again. However this is not a viable option for me. Does anybody have any idea how I might be able to fix this without decrypting? Thanks.
