Ps2 Adapter

Hi Guys,

I read recently on this website that some people are intending to buy an xbox converter that will allow them to use the PS2 pad on the Xbox. I think this is a brilliant product as i have an xbox and ps2, and believe me the ps2 pad is much better.
Anyway the post i read said the ps2 adapter was £15.00, however i have found a website where you can buy it for a fixed price of £9.99 plus postage. The website is www.gameessentials.co.uk, you can also find the adapter on ebay but it is not always on sale and the price does vary.
I hope my info helps all those interested and hopefully i have saved money for some people.

Killer :D

Cool, I see there's a memory unit slot. But does this slot support my XBL headset? That's the most important question imho. Without the ability to use my headset on this adapter, playing Live won't be much fun.

So anyone knows for sure? Cause it seems not every product with a memory unit slot, also works as XBL headset connection. (or am I wrong on that?)

TIA!

DOn't know about that one, but this one is apparently working with Xbox Live:

Anyone know if you can use the PS2 multitap with this adapter? Me thinks not but would be good if you could.

killeroneuk - do you have a direct link to the convertor on that site?

jamez - looks like they don't support multi-taps since the mem card slot is not in the right position and seems to be usually on another side of the device so the multip-tap just can't connect to it.

Don't give up on the box controller already guys. The S controller's a big improvement on the chunky original Xbox controller. See how the sticks and the triggers fare on the Xbox S. The Dualshock II over the S controller debate has been covered but I'm going to wait & see, I've got faith in the S, but I'm man enough to swallow me pride and buy an adapter if needs be.

CAN I MAKE JUST ONE POINT TO THOSE WHO ARE BUYING AN XBOX/PS2 ADAPTER TO PLAY PES4 ONLINE:

One major problem with is is there is no way you will be able to speak to your opponents unless you use your xbox controller as there is no port in the ps2 controller to do this, unless you find a decent converter with a port for this it looks like you may be playing mute games

Dude, check my comment (2nd post in this thread) and the reply's to it :)

@Zygalski & Milosh > Thanks guys. I can see that both support a memory card unit. But do those work with an XBL headset? That's my question. Cant see comments on it in the user comments or product info.

I don't care much about chatting to whoever I'm playing with. I'll do that before and after the game. No way you're going to distract me with your trash talk!

True. It ain't that important during a game. Until you plays with people on your friendslist, that is. It's what makes Xbox Live so unique. And btw, how can you talk before or after the match, when you can't use the headset :)

I'm gonna dive into this some deeper...

xbox controller is tripe for pes4 cos of the lack of buttons

there are the same amount f buttons on both controllers but instead of 4 back buttons it has 2 "triggers" and two other buttons

True, and it will 'get used too' after a while to play the game on a Xbox controller (S). But the black button (for special ability or whatever they called it in the control scheme, like R2 on a DS2) is really hard to use often and in combo with other buttons... and that sucks, use it quiet a lot normally.

Yes there are the same amount of buttons but using the black and white buttons is hard cos u gotta stretch ya thumb and its not easy - point is, it will be alot easier using the 4 ps2 shoulder buttons as appose to 2 triggers and 2 useless buttons, also when u use the trigger to make ya players run it feels lifeless, and u can knock them easily without wanting to - like on halo i keep throwing granades cos thats the left trigger and cos its on a spring it knocks easily, ppl with the ps2 controller will have an advantage over xbox controller users.

I adjust my ATT/DEF manually constantly switching back and forth combining
it with manual crossing ....with the XBOX setup there is no way I will be as efficient

Im sticking with the PS2 pad adapter unless...there is a way to play effectively with the S-controller
