[PS3] Anyone playing the PAL version in North America?

I want to get the PAL version, purely for the option files, I dont play online that much so no bother there, but I have 2 questions;

1. Is it compatable? I have a Sony Bravia 1080i

2. Will the 1.20 update work?

Don't worry, is campatible to all console and HDTV.......I'm stay at asia (malaysia), i bought the europe version for my ntsc/j ps3 console and match with the sony bravia32"...everything just going well....but you must register your psn account through europe region, then you will able to update the eur 1.20patch........
