[PS3] Player Faces Thread

INTRODUCTION:

Hi fellow PES lovers,

i want to dedicate this thread to all the people who are interested in new player faces for the PS3 version of PES 2009, the greatest football video game experience there is.


OPTION FILE:

at the moment i am using the PES 2009 PS3 Option File v. 1.9 by LIAM which you can get here:

it is in the opinion of many PES players the best option file out there even beating the new WENB option file!

up to now it contains about 7 teams of the german BUNDESLIGA complete with kits, emblems etc. so thats mainly the reason i am using this file.

as it doesnt have much real player faces though, i decided to add real BUNDESLIGA player faces from pictures that you can easily find on the internet for the MISSING player faces only.

INSTALLATION:

1. download the rar archive
2. unrar, and put the whole "PS3" folder on a USB stick (*you do NOT need to put the HAIRDATA*.txt and FACEDATA*.doc files on the usb stick!*)
3. plug the usb stick into your PS3 and copy the "PS3" folder to the HD
4. start the game
5. go to edit mode
6. choose "EDIT PLAYER"
7. go to for example FC BAYERN MUNICH and choose Lukas Podolski
8. click on "HEAD", then "FACE", then "SCAN", then "LOAD"
9. load the FACE DATA file of Lukas Podolski (*look up which FACE DATA # belongs to what player in the FACEDATA_LIST*.doc file included in the rar archive; in the case of Lukas Podolski it is "FACE DATA 002", which is "GESICHTSDATEN 002" in German*!)
10. edit the hairstyle of each player like it is said in the HAIRDATA*.txt files
11. continue with the other players

thanks. i am working on improving the quality of the ingame player faces a lot.
it just takes time to find good pictures of the players which show the face in a zoom-in-style portrait perspective and adjust the whole players head structure and everything.

but for now, i think it is good enough to play with these.

i just finished all of the missing player faces for FC BAYERN MUNICH in HD Quality.

i think the Von OF has his face already for the ps3 version.

personally, i will do the bundesliga faces only.

Problem with most faces being added by scan, is the colouring doesnt match, like on von option file, some faces by scan have different skin colour on the face and scan, it doesn't allow you to fix it like in BAL or fix it automatically.

i'm sorry longleyleeds,
i only have time to focus on the missing bundesliga faces.
to scan and adjust a single players face takes me about 15 to 20 minutes, so a whole team can easily take a few hours.
and i finished only 1 team: FC BAYERN MUNICH.
theres another 17 bundesliga teams to go...

but i am doing my best and already found ways to make the scans even more crisp etc.

so expect better quality in future releases.

also, you should check out the player faces ingame because the screenshots here are low quality shots with my 3.2 Megapixel Sony Ericsson K800i cellphone only.

ok, I'm pretty new to this but I've uploaded some screens of faces I have created.
I've also put in some of Bayern which I quite like as an addition to cappz8 ones but it's mainly German players and some odd ones from Austria

please note that I didn't pay too much attention on hairdoes or kits but if you like some of the faces I'll try to get them off my PS3 and upload them.

cause when the computer make them smile you will see

a big big smile as a U and I m sorry too I haven't seen yet a soccer

player with already a smile on his face...imagine c.ronaldo when he

missed the penalty kick with a big smile...

I need you to do hd faces without smile I m counting on you

thats weird fabinho. when i click on any of the two mirrors a new page comes up, connecting to speedshare and then there is the download button at the buttom of the new page. maybe i try to find another file-hoster like rapidshare or something. i'll update the first page when its ready.
