PS3 Questions

Right lads, I need some quick answers as I'm going to gamestation 1/2 hours.
what i need to know is:

1) do I really need the 80gb version or is 40gb more than enough?

2) are the current PS3 models backwards compatible (i.e. play PS2 games)??

Any help is much appreciated.

PS - sorry I know this is kinda in the wrong place, but I need answers fast.

Yep, definately in the wrong place. You get no extra credit for knowing it mind you.

1) If you can afford it get the 80. Chances are as things improve on the PSN you'll find ways of filling it.

2) The 40Gb had no backwards compatability. Based on that I highly doubt the 80 has either.

Fast enough?

Why? PS3 has a pretty good record for reliability all things (and Xbox) considered.

Got my 60Gb on release day & only problem is i have to keep hoovering it. It's a friggin' dust magnet compared to my 360...

I speak to quite a few other guys from Scotland & quite a few of them have had problems with the 60gb models, although it may have been just a few freak incidents but i'll just keep my fingers crossed, so true about being a dust magnet though lol.

It's likely the dust is a factor in their problems. Like all electrical equipment, vents should be kept clear to allow air to flow & cooling to work efficiently.

It's a sad fact that the older you get, the more you enjoy hoovering vents.
