If pes 12 does not address the quitters, laggers, whatever...then the game will be a failure in my eyes. My MLO/1v1/2v2 experience has been wrecked by these people and with 12 bringing online community...this better be the number 1 problem to fix.
Anyone remember Konami's reaction to the own goal exploit in MLO? Instead of resetting the DB they left everyone to carry on. Something EA would NEVER tolerate.

Once you've entered a match, if you fail to record match complete, for WHATEVER reason, you default a 3-0 loss. No more abandoned matches due to lag, no more own goal abandons etc. Kinda like the reset prevention on ML save games, if you hard reset or quit the game while in a match....PES should record it as a loss no matter what. If you have a crap connection, don't play online or risk being penalized loss after loss after loss.
If a player quits due to lag or tries to lag a game out, the game should simply look at the ping and kick him. The match is NOT abandoned, instead they incur a 2 goal penalty (instant) and the A.I takes over.
Servers: Europe should only play Europe etc. No more matchups with people halfway around the world. Come on Konami, fix this obvious crap.
I will be buying both games and eventually there will be one winner. I prefer PES for it's shooting and unpredictable play. For me FIFA has always been a cold clone, but no doubt it is getting VERY CLOSE every year.
