put the perfect formation for FC Barcelona

i've been having this prob, i play with lazio since Fifa 98 and now they really hit rock bottom, so i switched to barcelona 2 months ago and i can't make the best formation for them, i only wish lazio can sign some good players all players are leaving, anyways my prob is i feel i am stretched too thin in midfield and my defence is always out of order this is how i play:

Real madrid plays crazy offensively formations like 2-4-4 and 3-3-4 with Raul, Ronaldo, Zidane and R.Carlos upfront?!

juventus plays moderate formation 4-4-2s and 3-4-3

Arsenal kills me with Henry just run like a bullet through my defense shooting and scoring from everywhere he plays 5-3-2 with Henry and bergkamp upfront

AC Milan 4-5-1 with shevchenko up front ( i win him easily though )

Liverpool with a 4-3-3 formation i win him easily too the prob is with the first 3 especially Real Madrid and Arsenal

Ok, against this guy I'd play a 4-4-2, offesnively you'll often have enouhg players up to get three on two and more. On the other hand defensively you'll have enough back to handle the many attackers he plays, especially if you play a holding DMF.

Juventus plays moderate formation 4-4-2s and 3-4-3

Whatever he does match it, this ought to frustrate him and break any momentum he may try and build during the game. Also use strategies, to set an alternate formation so that you can quickly apply more pressure.

This is the difficult guy, try playing a 5-3-2 yourself, make it as if it were a 4-3-2 however and leave one CB free, leave this guy to personally harass ?Henry and man mark him, if Henry is his main attacking threat and you can neutralize him it will fustrate him no end, this should stop him from making any flowing attacks and force him to change his game plan which is one of the worst things that can happen for him. Relying on one player is a real weakness, make sure you exploit it.

well my game is patched with this WEfantasy patch whatever, anyways i don't have the new lineup and we all play with the same old lineups waiting for we8 to be released, but post your screenshot of the formation cause this might help thanks

i tried that for a while but i couldn't stand through passes they were killing me but now with that sweeper things are getting a bit tighter

thats my tactic, with forward press, the pci is abit fucked up because u cant see giuly. and deco is not DM, he is OM.

play deco as a CMF, cocu as DMF and ronaldinho as OMF...deco can both attack and defend...i support benfica but i know deco very well and if he's realistic in the game he should have at least 60-75 defense stat because here in portugal he used to control the midfield...he does a lot tackling and he attacks pretty well etc etc great player...

My advice would be to try to play with 2 DMFs. Experiment with a 4-2-X-X where the Xs are whatever you want them to be. Examples include 4-2-3-1, 4-2-2-2, 4-2-1-3.
Try it with a flat back 4 or use a flat 3 in front of a sweeper.

nice i never tried zyg's formation, will give it a go, the sad thing is my friend who plays with Juventus hit the PS2 and it fell on it's side so my patched cd isn't working i am back to the old dvd until i go buy another blank cd

hey guys it's been a pleasure just won that tournament (7 teams, 6 hours of play) ultimate rush i played 1-3-2-3-1 with a flat defense and man marking, i tied in the first 3 matches, then i won the last 3 and i tied with the arsenal player in points and goal difference can you believe that? at 12 points, so we played a final match which i won 3-2 with a beautiful goal from kluivert, world class volley, thanks guys it's been a pleasure working with the best
