Questions regarding youth team

Just completed my first season and got my first batch of youth players. All in the 40s. For the record i spent 10 Million on youth.
Anyway, remember last year(pes2010), if you saved your game on the last day of June you could advance, check the new youth and if they weren't anything special you could quit and reload? Tried this, got the same players.

Does anyone know when the new youth intake is decided for the purposes of farming 'legends to be'?


Also, remember in pes2010, you would get certain youth players who would inherit his stats from the current stats a current established 'name' player(Ronaldo, Messi, Gerrard, whoever)? If you pressed Triangle on the player in the youth squad it would say something along the lines of ' reminds me of a young Buffon/Chiellini/whoever'.

Does anyone know if these players exist in pes2011?


I hope so because it would be a sore loss for me. I like to bring in 1/2 of these players per season using the technique i first described.

The youth team is updated in june. and I don't know about the players like just like messi or such but retired players come back like i got henry and deco first season both 69 overall paying 5 million youth team

I went back and reloaded my save file today and advanced one day. The youth intake was slightly different so that clears that up. I guess there just wasn't many players as it was season 2 and season 2 youth are usually lame.

Any insight on the super youth players with cloned stats yet?

From what i recall on 2010 , if you where able to sign/release all last years youth intake during your yearly transfer windows so you would free up more slots for incoming/generated youths increasing your chances @ getting decent youth.

No insight on the cloned stats players thought , apart from recalling i saw some younger players ( generated most likely ) with something along the lines of "reminds me of" so im pretty sure its possible just not 100%.

Yes, that is correct. I got a 17 yr old "Chavez" from my Man Utd ML who has the "reminds me of Chivu" comment from the coach.

Fortunately, it's more balanced this year because he starts off with the same stats as a 17 yr old Chivu would, unlike in last year's PES where you can get a 17 yr old youth with the stats of a 28 yr old Ibrahimovic.

I also use the "Sign most players in your Youth Team to free up more slots" tactic. It's especially useful this year since the 1.02 patch because players now sell for such a higher price. I have youth Kanu and N'kufo primed and ready to be sold for quite a high price this coming Summer Transfer for my team.
