I have looked across the message board searching for these questions but as yet i haven't been able to find the answers.

1) How are the imported kits created? is there a special program which has the templates?

2) Can imported kits be put in using a max drive or only through chipping the ps2?

Depends what you mean by imported kits.

In PES4 there's sponsor editor, you can create the kits in the game that look pretty decent. And they save to your option file so you can share option files using xport or max drive.

But the best looking kits will be in the form of patches. Check the editing section for info on them. Not sure if any will be available for a while yet though.

Max drive and X-Port files only contain kits that you can create using the ingame Edit Mode. You can use a Max Drive or X-Port on any PS2- it does not need to be chipped or modified.

If you want to import patched kits into your game, you will patch your game and then burn it onto CDR/DVDR and play it on a chipped/modded PS2.
