Realism of gameplay = Arcade??????

I have a good feeling after played fifa09 at my friend home, the fifa gameplay so smooth and fluency and we can call that simulation of football game and quite realistic as well. But I'm so conflict after i watched last night match in between Southampton and Manu in FA cup. If you check my previous post, you can find out that i'm used to compare the tv broadcast live match while i'm playpes09 by switch on Double screen at the same time ( features in sony bravia LCD which able to show the tv and ps3 screen at the same time.) We all know that pes09 gameplay feel a bit arcade because of the speed. But after i watch last night match, i must say that pes09 feel a bit arcade ....YES....BUt the pace and the speed in pes09 just realism as what i saw on the tv.....I will justify in few ways.

(pace Speed)- The pace was so quick, no matter manu or soutn, both team launch the attack once they grab the ball.

(passing speed)- Both teams passing speed were terrible fast, you can refer player such as anderson, giggs, patterson and more....you only can see slow speed pass deliver by carrick and nani. And the overhead through pass was exactly similar what we have in pes09...

( Passing accurate)- A lot of pes fan complained that the passing pes09 just a shit....but if you compared to last night match, Both team percentage passing rate even more worst especially at first half...(thats why we feel no more smooth and fluency in pes09 but that's always happened in real football match).

Overall, pes09 gameplay isn't that bad, but should we request for more realism of gameplay=Arcade or more smooth and fluency of gameplay= simulation????. i'm really confused. ( why don't konami and fifa combine together and give us the well balanced gameplay in between realism and fluency????????just dreaming..........

I know a lot of pes fan out there might not agree what i'm saying here, but nevermine, this is my real feeling. .....sorry for poor english....

Finally a footy gamer that actually watches footy. I've been saying the same thing over at gamespot ever since the demo released but all I get is pes is so unrealistic, so dam fast, blah blah.

They say Messi and Eto'o are unstoppable well I guess they never watched those 2 play before. Messi just ripped apart that poor Atletico Madrid defense. They say Eto'o runs way too fast but in reality he can cover the pitch in a shorter amount of time than in Pes. I love the end to end pace of Pes there's nothing unrealistic about that I mean thats how the EPL is a lot of times.

Konami still needs to improve a boatload in other areas though but I doubt we'll see improvements. I think no matter what they'll always sell good in Japan so judging from Japanese tradition they could care less what the rest of the world thinks. Imo it's bad business practise but thats how they are.

I'm agree with you, konami won't listen to us, since they have sold a million copied all around the world. For next pes series, i think konami only will turn slow a bit for the gameplay and add some small features, thats all nothing more...lazy game developer....

U are spot on about the accuracy of passing. Many ppl complain about the horrible passing in the game and expect spot on passing which make the game more unrealistic. If you see a real soccer match, the completion of passes are at some times worse of than PES. The passing in this game should stay this way. BTW, ur english isnt that bad for a Malaysian:happy:
