Referee mode

After finishing a weekly night with the mates playing on Winning Eleven 7 it occured to me that Konami are missing out on an option that would make multiplayer game alot more interesting.

Not only able to have 2 human players versus 2 human players but also that ability for an extra person to control the referee and what decisions he makes.

In my opinion this would make the game more fun and would be a new feature not seen in football games before (i think)

Not an option that the majority of players would play a lot, methinks.
Interesting idea though. Manual control over moving the ref? Intentionally getting in the way of your mates?

what about calling fouls?? that would be prett fun.. it coudl start a few fight amongst mates... calling the penalty that wins a match.. sounds like a blast to me...

Since the majority of the time there is three of us taking turns to play each other I reckon this option would be good........ nice idea!

i would love it... especially when i had a few beers and felt like being annoying.. i would call a penalty and then run from a rampaging pissed off drunken PES3 player..

I've toyed with this idea many a year ago. Being a ref myself, it is certainly an option I'd like to see implemented. No idea how you'd go about doing it though...

simple what to implement it. Home team; press R1 to call a foul and away team press L1. After the foul is called. press square to book the player, cirlcle to send him off or triangle to do nothing.

I think there should be an unlimited number of human players allowed to join a game. 3rd person being the referee, next 2 getting linesmen, and then you can select other roles in the stadium, as be fan and then run into the field naked, or security on the side, so you can beat the shit out of the naked fan, that session of the game can go into a different mode, like a doa kinda deal where you can fight in 3D, and then you can be a reporter and take pictures behind the net, and blah blah...

Hey, this game is already trying manually controlling the GK (by cursor fixing), manually controlling the ref? That's like 'Special Referee' in a WWE game. Nice idea, but what if you just want to be a linesman, calling offsides?

ah, ref in a WWE game....all the way through reading this thread i knew i'd played a game where you could be the ref and i couldn't remember what it was....
it was No Mercy i think...

I would like to see some sort of manual refereeing option for multiplayer leagues/cups.

Especially for instances where you get denied a certain penalty at the end of the match which the cpu 'ref' fails to give but everyone in the room shouts "penalty surely!!!" and you finish up going out the tournament.

Not that that's ever happened....

ah, ref in a WWE game....all the way through reading this thread i knew i'd played a game where you could be the ref and i couldn't remember what it was....
it was No Mercy i think...

I only had WWE Smackdown: Just Bring It, but yeah, it is a regular feature.

BTW, about the whole user controlled GK, why not have buttons that actually control what type of save he'll do, like the ones that NHL games has been doing? (eg: circle=jump and catch, x=toe save or shin block)
