first of all welcome im not totally sure about this, i think its like transfer listing a player?

are you talking about the release list, when you put someone on the release list, not just release the player. i've been wondering the same thing.

I think if you put someone on the release list it invites offers from other clubs.

recently i try to release of my unused player, while the contract is stl ongoing and they fined me depending to the salary of the player.
my advice is if u want to buy a player and ur not so sure about his ability, try not to put his to max. time.
